Happy New Year
I’m aware of the irony, or absurdity, of the intervening periods between this and my last post. This past year has been full of new art and changes for me, and next year promises to be even fuller. I’m somewhat revamping the way I design and “layout” the fabrication process for my liturgical clocks and other carvings. The result is that I will be able to reduce production time while improving accuracy of detail (but without resorting to CNC).
I’m in the middle of a big build that I’m excited to share with y’all; I’m working on a clock which, for the first time, will include a representation of the seven days of creation so that the clock will tell both the liturgical season as well as the days of the week. This innovation will involve the cunning use of that sophisticated technology known as magnetism. It’s very exciting. Follow me on Instagram to see developments as they occur.
And if you’re interested in a commission (art, poetry, or otherwise) drop me a line. There’s a waiting list, but things should be able to move a bit more quickly than they have in the past.
May 2022 be blessed and full of joy and life.
