“I received this clock as a birthday gift from a dear friend last year. It arrived quite unexpectedly, at the beginning of a time of thinking quite a lot about church tradition and the importance of yearly rhythms. It has been a beautiful, blessed daily signpost, orienting me to the times of remembrance, feasting, and fasting that have long been kept by the saints who came before me. Besides a help to personal devotion, the clock has provoked wonderful conversations with friends and strangers about the role of liturgical seasons; aiding remembrance and discussions around Christ’s life, death, and ascension. I have admired Phil’s work for years and it is an honor to have one of his pieces adorning my home.”

“Our church was deeply grateful to be the recipient of Phillip Aijian’s first liturgical clock in our Sanctuary lobby.  It has been an object of great interest and profound reflection since the day of its installation, helping us to mark the movement of the seasons of the Christian year, while also revealing many layers that imaginatively depict important moments in redemptive history.  The quality of the materials used, the minute attention to detail and artistry, and the doxological spirit that infuse the liturgical clock would make an invaluable addition to any church or family that would like to be drawn into the wonders of God’s work in history and the church’s celebration of the life of Christ.”

“Every day my liturgical clock draws me into worship and is so comforting as a reminder of how our human time is encapsulated by God.”

“Words are hard to find to describe how meaningful this liturgical clock has become to our family. Not only is it an incredibly beautiful piece of art that stands out as a centerpiece in our home, but it also has become a rich part of our daily spiritual walk with the Lord. The artistry and technique that Phillip has developed is not only stunning and of exceptional quality, but is unlike any other piece of art we have seen before. This piece of art speaks to our souls, by serving as an ever present reminder that our lives are caught up into the story of the Church and in the story of salvation. The story of our God, that reaches back to creation and extends to eternity; a story that has a place for even us and our small family, our short lives. To see our smallness in light of His grandeur helps us remember his glory and his grace, particularly in the midst of dark and trying days. As time marches on, as seasons change, as nations rise and fall, as we enter the story, and as saints are added to the distant shore, our God remains. Unchanged and victorious. This clock declares the truth of that big picture vision, and it lifts our hearts and points our eyes to the cross that accomplished it all.

Another dynamic that we are particularly thankful for, is how it serves as another way for small children to come to see and understand the mysterious beauty of our faith in the one true God. They notice that there is a cross at the center, and that there is a drop of blood on that cross. They notice that there is a lamb and a throne in the corners, and that the lamb has blood streaming from him as well, and that it is Jesus. And the throne is His. They notice the trees in the center, where life and death are intertwined. They notice that there is a tree in another corner and that it is the same one as that in the middle, that of life. We love that this clock is another way to center our home on faith in Jesus Christ, and to speak of Him as we go about our daily rhythms. Each time we look at it, something new seems to jump out and prompt reflection and speak of truth. We are truly thankful for it, and for Phillip's thoughtful theological artistry!”
